Each apartment has a kitchenette for preparing meals. The host supplies coffee, chocolate, and milk upon arrival. Nearby restaurants include Etrusco Italian (recommended by the host). Groceries are within walking distance on George Street.
Leisure
The apartments open onto a courtyard garden. The seating area includes a flat-screen TV and DVD player for downtime. Some units have a walk-in wardrobe and a separate lounge. The location is quiet with minimal street noise, and blackout curtains help with sleep.
Location
Heriot Lane City Apartments is a 5-minute drive from The Octagon, University of Otago, and Forsyth Barr Stadium. Taieri Gorge Railway is 2 km away. It is a 10-15 minute walk to George Street shops and cafes. Off-street parking is provided. The driveway is steep, and the city center is uphill.

Free WiFi and free parking are included. The host communicates clearly, provides extra pillows on request, and turns on heat pumps before arrival. Each apartment has a private bathroom, heating, and smoke alarms. Family rooms and non-smoking policies are in place.
“Heriot Lane City Apartments stand out for their thoughtful touches, from the warm personal welcome and provision of local insights to the surprisingly well-equipped living spaces and extremely comfortable beds. The tranquil garden setting and easy access to central amenities, coupled with convenient off-street parking, make it a genuinely well-considered stay, particularly for those seeking a quiet base with useful facilities.”
